Emily Schwappach's practice is exclusively focused on family law. She works with families in all areas of family law, including divorce, modifications of child support, modifications of child custody, administrative child support proceedings, custody arrangements between never married parents, adoptions, step-parent adoptions, grandparent visitation, adult and minor name changes. Ms. Schwappach is a registered Guardian Ad Litem and is often appointed by the Court to represent children in cases where there are allegations of abuse or neglect.

Ms. Schwappach received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in May 2009 and was active in the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Law's Child and Family Services Clinic and Guardian ad Litem Clinic, where she represented clients in family law matters. Prior to practicing in private practice, Ms. Schwappach  worked as law clerk to the Honorable Patrick W. Campbell  and Honorable Christine Sill-Rogers of the 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County, Missouri – Family Court Division where she gained considerable insight into how judges decide family law matters. 

Emily lives in Lee's Summit with her husband of 15 years and their two boys. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, vacationing at the beach, and running.
